The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final witnessed a commanding display as Indian team left no scope for the Kiwis to show their skills in the match. India delivered a neat performance with both, ball and bat, and the two powerplays ultimately deciding fate of the match. After loosing the toss,India was asked to bowl first by New Zealand Captain Mitchell Santer.The decision initially appeared promising for New Zealand  but India’s top order ensured strong impact on the powerplays. The opening pair, Samson and Sharma played an impactful innings with attacking the bowlers early,scoring quickly and putting pressure on the Kiwi bowlers. Boundaries flowed regularly as the Indian batters capitalised on the fielding restrictions.India’s middle order continued the momentum, building on the explosive start and pushing the total to an imposing score. Smart strike rotation combined with powerful hitting ensured that New Zealand never regained control of the game. By the end of their innings, India had posted a challenging total that demanded a strong response from the opposition.

 New Zealand's chase began under excessive pressure and Indian bowlers made sure that it stayed intact till the last. Early wickets during the powerplay shattered New Zealand’s hopes of a steady start.The Indian bowling unit maintained discipline, keeping the batters quiet and forcing mistakes. Regular breakthroughs prevented New Zealand from building partnerships, and the required run rate climbed rapidly.With wickets falling the kiwi line up eventually lost their spark of Victory.

This victory sparked celebrations all across the country, starting from coaches, staff members to fans.The victory sparked celebrations across the country as fans rejoiced in India’s emphatic triumph. Santner later acknowledged that the powerplay overs played a decisive role in the match, with India dominating both with bat and ball during that crucial phase.

Score: India posted a mammoth 255/5 on the board and New Zealand scored I59 with Sanju Samson, the player of the tournament with 89(46).
