Anuradha Halder
B.A Sem 1
She shines like thousand
suns,
Her golden aura blazing
against the darkness.
Her ten arms stretch
wide,
Each carrying a weapon
of justice.
Her eyes are vast and
fierce,
Burning with fury
against evil.
Her hair flows like a
storm cloud.
Her smile holds both,
Gentleness of a mother
and fury of a warrior.
Like Durga every women
carries,
“Fiery crown of light”.
As Durga every women
holds,
“Instrument of power”.
Like Shakti every
women’s eyes,
“Ignites in defiance of
evil”.
As Shakti’s hair each
and every women’s cascade,
“Like a ragging storm”.
Durga does not descend-
She is born again each
time a women stands tall.
Durga struck down the
Asura,
Her triumph blazing
through time-
-Yet the Asuras return
in many forms,
And still women rise to
fight them.
Every women is a goddess
in disguise,
Balancing storms with
quite smile,
Carrying the weight of
world without a cry.
The goddess does not
depart-
She thrives, eternal and
unyielding,
In every women’s blood.
Durga is no myth-
She is the pulse, the
fire,
The unyielding force
within every women.
